Who are we?
Macon County Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was established in 2003 in Macon County, Alabama. With our small group of active and highly dedicated volunteers, we are making great strides to address the pet overpoppulation problem in the county, as well as alleviating animal cruelty and suffering in our community. We can do so much more for these animals, but we need your help!
Our Story
MCHS was born in 2003. We are a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. We take pride in being one of the few no-kill shelters in the area. We try our best to give each and every fur animal a fulfilling life until they find their own family.
What We Do
With the help of our volunteers, we provide shelter, food, and love to all dogs that come into our care. Along with caring for these animals, we try our best to go out and search for their fur-ever home
